My family has been discombobulated because the self-appointed-family-clown that I am, has been on leave.
Repression of trauma/denial is a very black (and frankly effective) strategy. “But did I die though?” is a common joke in black spaces. For once, I wanted to do the healing-thing right. Therapy ? Nah. Too far a step for my very African behind…I do, however, rejoice with you if you find it fruitful.
In this journal we touched on genocide denial, ongoing arrests, competitive victimhood, inter-generational trauma, God weeping, the oneness of all Rwandans, etc. My work here is done!
Therefore, dearest Family & Friends, after a 30 day fun-hiatus, I am back and I expect nothing short of a red carpet reception.
