Theoretically speaking, clubbing is not the best past-time for a believer considering the propensity for sin in that environment. Practically speaking though, I am a young free bird that likes to dance. One cannot go through life enumerating sin by sin on a daily. Neither can one live life as though the Christ chapter did not happen.
When sin increased, grace increased… What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! Romans 6
I feel a sudden urge to savor life lately, this urge will pass, and I will be back home in the sheets. For now, though, the below is my practical tool kit on how I club-clean (pardon the oxymoron):
- Manage frequency (if the bouncer knows my name, we have a problem).
- Do not partake in drinking/smoking (morality aside= dangerous game)
- Instruct eyes not to wander. (one sin at a time, friends)
- Invite party crew to church, they will come out of obligation.
- Pay own tab (unless your father or husband are accompanying you).
God help us all.
