HARRIS v. TRUMP

Well well well.. we were entertained last night, weren’t we? While I very much wish to see a black woman President, I remain mostly nonpartisan. Harris is no angel. Trump is no devil.

I disagreed with Harris invocation of International Law when the topic of Israel and Hamas came up. It is true that Article 51 of UN Charter provides nations with the right to self defense against an armed attack. Hamas’ October 7 attack was an armed attack. However, 51(5)(b) states “even if there is a clear military target it is not possible to attack it if the expected harm to civilians, or civilian property, is excessive in relation to the expected military advantage.” By killing 40,000+ Palestians to date (in contrast with the 1000+ Israeli death toll), Israel has very much violated the proportionality element. In fact, their crimes are amounting to large crimes against humanity, namely Genocide et al. They will eventually have to answer for their crimes. VP Harris knows this. She has been a lawyer since before I was born. To suggest to the American people, Israel’s actions are justified under International law is, to quote a word she used many times last night, a disgrace.

Trump was equally dishonest. When confronted with Project 2025. He categorically distanced himself saying “I have nothing to do with Project 2025, that’s out there, I haven’t read it, I’m not going to read it. This was a group of people that got together they came up with some ideas I guess soome good, some bad” The thing is 900 pages so nobody fully read it, fine; but Mr. sir, the alleged random group of people is comprised of 140 of staff from YOUR administration and we are to believe it is a coincidence? Ok.

As for the demonization of Immigrants, we’re not even offended. For we know, only an uneducated, untravelled crowd can buy those bizarre rhetorics like “run, immigrants are eating your pets.” Any well cultured individual understands that migration is a simple feature of human existence. You know what, I will get you in on a secret, since good manners have left the table anyway… the truth is America is too Ghetto for us, we are just here for your (ill acquired) dollars, not your blue eyes!
