BUT, SHE’S A WOMAN…

Political lines aside. Policy aside. There is a significant number of persons, especially in regressive rural communities, who in their limited, unrefined, uneducated, untravelled, uncultured, simple minds; just cannot imagine a woman is a capable effective leader.

The truth they dare not say outloud (and it’s for the best because women box now) is “BUT SHE IS A WOMAN. Women have periods, babies, menopause; this whole work thing is unnatural for them.” This rhetoric is funny because take me for example, it is that whole kitchen business that is unnatural to me, the sweat, the heat, the length, the aromas, the dishes; we do what we have to do (when in love, because I’m only in the kitchen when I’m in love) but sheesh… what a chore! Competing in the workplace on the other hand, is second nature. I literally already have a 2025 planner.

This is particularly alarming because, though tragic, the oppression of blacks can perhaps be explained, as we constitute the minority group of the world’s population. But women? Women constitute exactly half the world’s population. So how has this even been possible? Note also, that it’s always Trump v. Kamala (not Harris); Trump v. Hillary (not Clinton); Kemp v. Stacy (not Abrams)… Women are never referred to by their last names. One has to be blind to not see the patriarchy we speak of. Will America finally shatter the glass ceiling? We’ll find out in 15 days.
