FIGHTING MONDAY BLUES

Recreation Over. It is 6a: Pray. Shower. Drive. Office. Meeting. Would I rather stay in bed cuddled up? Certainly! I don’t actually relish in work. I just understand the necessity for plenty money. So sweat, we shall… Quick Peek. Oh! Ha. Bed is empty. Seeing that I have neither time nor cuddle buddy, I quickly take my (generously proportioned) behind out of bed.

First, Pray With Me: May God bless the labor of our hands this week. May we learn to not despise small beginnings, whether we are at the bottom or at the top of the echelon. May we remain faithful in the small things so God can elevate us. Test & See / Taste & See; the Lord remains faithful.

Veni. Vidi. Vici. If you want people to respect you, you must first respect them. This contempt you have over others. Where did you learn it from? Did you inherit it from your fathers? Or was it learned behavior. Either way, it never leads far. We are interwoven: I need you, you need me. More importantly, you must also respect yourself. If you deem people never respect you, ask yourself, is my behavior respect-ABLE? We often place the burden on others. We cry “They don’t love me. They don’t respect me. They tire me.” I implore us to look inwards today. Also, I wish you a productive day. Task: What is a small step that I can do today to propel me to my desired future result? Remember, Goals are to be SMART. (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-Bound.)

I’ll start: (1) Because I want to publish a book by next year, today I must find time to write 5-10 pages. (2) Because I wish to pop out kids sooner than later, today I’ll honor the invitation I received of a gentleman. Knowing most men tend to bore me, I’ll be sure approach him Tabula Rasa (blank slate) and judge him according to his actions not according to any preconceived notion.

Yalla Habibi! I leave you now. Happy Monday!

Love,

Liv
