VINDICATION

Dearest Reader,

How do you do? Lots is happening. Internationally, Assads’ Semicentennial (50) Ironclad Regime has fallen. & funniest part to me is the freeing of Prisoners. Ça commence mal un peu quand même, non? Well apparently, this is super common when governments fall. Domestically, turns out, United Healthcare CEO’s murderer who everybody was expecting to be some sort of highly skilled assassin based on the audacious nature of a crime, is a 26y/o Ivy League Graduate with muscles who likes McDo.

On a more personal note, offered my condolences today to a colleague whose goat died and was buried in the forest, though I can’t relate, she seemed sad so I obliged… By the way, how do enjoy getting a glimpse of my daily life? Obsessed? Perf! On another note, you know how African Pentecostal churches love to say things, like “God of Vengeance cast fire from the heavens and burn all my enemies.” Always found such prayers to be immoral and non-Biblical. (1) It is not good for man to have enemies. (2) Should it happen, we are called to tender the other cheek. Once upon a time, when my ex-spouse became anthetical to my life’s progression, I didn’t exactly tender the other cheek, but I did not pray prayers against him either. The very meaning of name is derived from the Olive Branch, symbol of peace offering. As such, when we made peace some weeks back, it brought me great satisfaction. But tell me why this man just liked me on Hinge? Nah bro. Mana Y’Isi N’Ijuru. Mbashije k’umirwa... (*Creator of Heavens and Earth, receive my shock*). I don’t want the man to actually suffer but not gonna lie, a quick “I told you so” moment feels good for my soul. And no, not Ashanti-ing NOTHING.

My beloved Hindu friend, Nandi, once taught me the concept of Dharma. This is the belief that one can only secure worldly joy and eternal bliss by practicing Dharma. She explained Dharma is a code of living that includes righteousness, morality, religion, responsibility, duty, honesty, non-violence etc. More colloquially put, “Wanna be happy? Don’t f*** people over.” You can’t declare war in broad daylight & then attempt to retract when your much underestimated adui (enemy in swahili) gains territory and approaches victory. No baby, watch and learn. (*wink,wink*) Jokes aside, I released you long ago, go and sin no more. May the eternal peace of God accompany you, today and always.
