Saving? Argh.

I am 32, by the time they were my age, both my mom & dad had individually bought land/properties and were financially responsible for their parents and siblings. As for me, I have been working for close to a decade, so I should have a hefty savings account, but I don’t…

I followed a very fascinating conversation on Youtube channel “Investir au Pays” . The convo was between a young single woman living in France with no kids who doesn’t necessarily feel a heavy burden to save at this time and would rather invest in chopping life… The interviewer, on the other hand, who comes from small means and is now a millionaire, shared that, at every stage of his life, (even when as a student he made very little and whether he lived in France of Cameroon), he has always saved 20%+ of his paycheck and just adjusted his lifestyle accordindly. While the idea of delayed gratification sounds so painful to most of us young working people, it seems when you have known ACTUAL poverty, you’re inclined to be a better saver. Plus, in my case, since I have an average-to-weak twerk, I can’t go to the stripper route, nobody would tip; and seeing that I barely have patience for regular men, I can’t go the sugar daddy route either. So I suppose, the time has come to chop life less & save more? Eww…
