Life Lately…

First things first, 7000 Dead Bodies in DRC since last month. There are really no more words left to say in re- depravity of man, but let us take a moment of silence to honor every life lost. As for you Genocide apologist, Ewww, brute that you are, may your pinky ever get jammed in a door and may your colleagues ever stea your food and act confused.

I have been in a sort of race with time. I figured this is the time, before babies come and diapers explode in my face… what a visual… apologies… In my actual career, we are dealing with funding uncertainties caused by #47 & click; too mediocre for me to address them by name. Thursday, I visited GA’s Capitol & represented the African Diaspora of GA. Friday & Saturday, spent a total of 20 hours training along side fellow women Immigrants who are contemplating public office. Met an Iraqi-American woman whose diploma was invalidated in US and had to restart school. Met a super cool Armenian-American woman whose family survived the 1914 Genocide. We joked about Armenians being the actual inhabitants of Caucus. So turns out, using the term Caucasian to refer to Whites – is slightly off… Sis wears an authentic “evil eye” necklace, these traditions having been in her culture for centuries. Together, we laughed at new age spiritualism banalizing everything; selling this stuff on Amazon for $5 and random Youtube blonde witches casting love spells with it. She exclaimed “yes, they stole this too…” and we bursted out laughing!! This, ladies and gents, is an illustration of immigrant women leaders combatting machismo culture & quite literally forcing their way at the table! (PS: A quick note of gratitude for ALLIES. That is, men who support the emancipation of women and whites who support the emancipation of persons of color. You dears, have my entire heart!)

Lastly, I hear whispers from my Naija counterparts, that her Royal Majesty, Olori Atuwatse III of Kingdom of Warri (Delta State) will be visiting the A soon. Hey siri, how to impress a royal?
