Milaka is one of the most impressive women I know. We met in 2018 in Cape Town where we were both law students studying abroad. I was heading to Kigali next so I invited her to join me. Because, hey, YOLO! This is us at our family home in Kigali rocking African Headwraps.
Milaka is a member of the Navy. You know the people that fight under water? Yea that. Or less ignorantly said, she is a member of the branch of the US Military that conducts naval warafare. Can you imagine? How cool. She is also a super mom who’s baby is on her way to college! I mean, WAWU… Milaka is also a lawyer and an MBA holder.
Beyond all that, Milaka has heart and character. I once found out, by pure chance, she continued to financially support someone back home she met during our trip. I had to quickly caution her, sis be careful they don’t abuse your kindness and she smiled as if to say, “It’s for God.”
I love you and I celebrate you Milaka.
