One of the funniest elements of my existence is Africans calling me “Oliver” on a regular. It’s so funny and random to me. It’s usually non-Francophone speakers so I take it, they never watched scandal?

On another note, I attended a Women’s event today at work. Learned the following. Did you know that most weapons of mass destructions have female nicknames “Big Bertha“ used in WWI, “Screaming Mimi“ used in WWII and most recently, “Mother of all Bombs“ used in Afghanistan. Perhaps we wouldn’t mind so much, if women were given equal opportunities to participate in decision making. A UNIDIR study found the global efforts to eliminate weapons of mass destructions is almost exclusively led by men. & No, hiring a bunch of women cleaners doesn’t satisfy the DEI requirement.

So too are names of Hurricane: Katrina, Maria, Irma, Fiona, etc. This is slowly changing so we thank God.

Finally, wish to highlight, men and women are almost perfectly equal in population (50.1% v. 49.6%) so the number argument fails. Shall we provide further evidence that we don’t make these things up OR shall we rest our case. Think you will have converted on Saturday, in time for International Women’s Day?
