In Kigali, “we share”: African Swinging

Swingers. Open Marriage. Libertinage…
Africans love to look down on these modern sexual movements but that’s a tad bit more sophisticated than what y’all be doing…. MIC DROP.

In too many African contexts: A is married to B but sleeps with her gym instructor C on the low. B too has a side lover, sister D from church. D is expecting a child with E. E doesn’t like to use protection. Which effectively exposes D and B and C and A. A is also awfully close to her pastor. Bordering the inappropriateness. Pity not B – for he has a play work wife F. So far, all is kosher but for how long? In my country they straight up say, “In Kigali we share”. Which is in direct contradiction with the supposed conservative culture of ours that oppressed my entire childhood. I don tire…(*Insert Nolywood dramatic facial expression*)
