Terrible divide/misunderstandings in our communities. On one hand, Africans are like ”how can African Americans live in the greatest nation in the world, economically speaking and still have nothing” WHEREAS African Americans are like “how is it possible for a normal human being to bleach their skin?”. Both are steeped in deep misunderstanding of each other, truth is “turabana bonse rimwe”– we are children that have fed on the same breast. How is one expected to prosper if their neck is being stepped on. And how is one expected to love their skin when it is associated with everything bad? (black magic, black widow, etc.)

Solution? Each one, take one. So far, I’ve taken 5 African American friends of mine in Rwanda -they loved it and realized, oops- common enemy. Then, in turn, you can adopt, marry, sponsor etc. an African and bring them here… So he/she can take their family out of the abject poverty that consumes our lands….
In sum: never curse your brother in Babylon’s sight. Wait till the ride home.
