Kémi Séba in DRC

In front of 2000 guests, Kémi Séba, Presidential candidate for Bénin 2026, one of the greatest black intellectuals of our time, AND my “friend” with whom I had a drink & a 30 min convo… (fun fact he doesn’t drink alcohol). This is him voice cracking, burdened by the weight of our people delivering a fiery speech in DRC.

Speech portion translated:
“There is a central problem in our communities we must address. We complain about external discrimination, but there is division among us. When one of us rises, the others labor to humiliate him/her. We are always in internal wars. I implore you to consider panafricanism as our medicine- it reminds us, that we black people, in and out of diaspora – are like the fingers of one hand. When 1 is broken, all is broken.”
