Owing to catastrophes of Biblical proportions committed against Black Diaspora since man was man; my friends are always VERY black. Last year though, I grew close to 2 white colleagues whose dedication to humanity moved me & apparently transcended race. Since then, I decided to be (a bit) open to mingling with other races. So, now – permit me to utilize your language: “I’m not racist, I have white friends.”
Still- I must caution you- blacks with the opposite problem… With all due affection, If you are black and 95% of your friends are white, let us reason together- it this normal? Would you agree that rejecting the community to which you belong (by birth, blood, clan – not affiliation you created in college) is a form of self-hate?
(PS: I understand the awkward predicament these convos put some of you in BUT the sun cannot cease to shine because a dot of a human down below may burn. Wear suncreen- For I am on a mission, darling!)
