A Man is Dead. Human Life is Sacred. Gun Violence is Horrendous. May God receive him. I can never speak ill of the departed, my moral code does not permit. I, however, can speak ill of YOU.

You randoms, pushing forced compassion down our throat. Conservative Christians popping out of nowhere to “denounce…”. Where y’all been? Y’all hate the gays, the arabs, the foreigners THAT much? This is the precise hypocrisy we have dedicated our very lives to denounce: Even Corpses are not Equal.

I am from the Great Lakes Region of Africa. I have smelled blood since birth. 1,2,3: A Congolese woman in war zone was just raped. By the time I finish writing this article in 30 min; 24 Congolese women would have been raped. Nearby, our Palestinian brothers and sisters continue to be massacred. You dormant shell of a human, troubled by death only when it is in your backyard, has NO moral authority to speak to us about humanity.

Highlighting also that WE didn’t rank deaths. The United Nations did. Defining a “Jus Cogen” as a violation so grave that EVERY nation on earth is mandated to intervene. (Theoritically) Examples being; genocide, slavery etc. Point being, we didn’t wish to compare calamaties. It is YOU uneducated, uncompassionate animals that push us down this road. Everytime. You never mourn with us but mandate we mourn with you. Eternally suffocating us.

Lastly, let us consider the following philosophical questions… If a prominent warlord whose hand caused civilians’ death is killed in battle, shall we mourn? If a drug dealer who poisoned entire communities, is killed by an overdose, shall we mourn? If in the midst of a pandemic, a person rejects vaccines/refuses to abide by masks-regulations and is later killed by said pandemic, shall we mourn? If then- a pro-gun warrior, in about the only nation on Earth plagued by gun violence, is killed by gun violence, shall we mourn?

As far as I’m concerned. I will mourn. Perhaps less zealously, but mourn nonetheless. My faith commands it. I however, am not the tear police, and neither are you. LET PEOPLE FUCKING BE. NA BY FORCE?
