The Economist

Guys, in another chapter of the unmerited favor of God, I was cited in yesterday’s article of the Economist, titled “Immigrants are narrowing the Black-White wage gap in America”, which proposed Africans as the new model immigrants. Article explored the uncomfortable tensions between Black & African Americans & the author did a phenomenal job showcasing prejudice from both sides. A message to:

1) Some African Americans who perceive Africans as lucky/favored. The Africans you see here are the ones who made it out of poverty & do not represent the economic reality of our brothers home. We, in totality, are as unlucky as they come….2) Some Africans who deem African Americans don’t seize opportunities in America enough and should do more: You sound dumb. Ghettos were LITERALLY manufactured. So was school to prison pipeline. As in, Hello?

We are one! Let us stay focused on the common enemy, babe: bigotry & spiritually-broke ninjas.
