Yom Kippur

Today is Yom Kippur, a sacred holiday in the Jewish faith, marked by fasting, repentance and atonement. We say “G’mar chatima tovah” (May you be sealed in the Book of Life for good) to all our Jewish-Humanist Friends. As for the rest, may Adonai judge you.

This morning, I watched a father find the bodies of his children and grandchildren. It was so horrific, I looked away. But today, tomorrow and the day after- until this bloody chapter ends; my eyes shall remain fixed on the crimes of our contemporaries in Gaza! May the God that rescued us from the belly of the Beast remember our brothers. Amen.
