Not only has Ugandan Citizen- Kwame Mamdani been elected mayor of NY. Very reminiscently of Kenyan American Obama Hussein. (*cough cough, East Africa*)
Even more excitingly to me: My dear friend Laura has been elected COUNCILWOMAN!!!! Beating her incumbent by 7%!!! AND the International Mayor, Mayor Burks of Clarkston has been re-elected. Undefeated since 2020. Particularly thrilled because she said I should reach out to her office to help pilot a youth program. For we know the direct link between low income neighborhoods & youth criminality. Im just happy there is still an office to reach out to, you feel me? Also want to cheer up those who didn’t get the intended results. Nothing in life is ever a defeat. This is but a “reculer pour mieux sauter” situation!
Sleep tight, hug your (borrowed, contracted, or legit) lovers, kiss your dogs that have human names, all is well tonight- for we have seen the victory of good over evil.
