Americans are too Unserious to Hate

A week back on America soil and I was welcomed by an unbothered hijabi girl chewing gum, robotically repeating “citizens here, non citizens there”. Couple steps down, my ID was checked by a guy who unprovokingly expressed his frustration that his dad had two snow shovels but he accidentally wasted money on purchasing another (in preparation for the one Atlanta snow day.) Just some hours ago, I watched an on duty cop lay game on a cute girl with rollers in her hair outside publix.

Those with lengthy agenda and limited IQ/EQ insist blue eyed Americans despise us. Truth is the Confederacy did lose the civil war; so while classism and racism remain deeply engrained in our society, I like to think -that much like me- the average American is too unserious to hate. Shit requires commitment.
