I took time to observe the world. Wars/Genocides don’t happen because of corrupt leadership alone. They happen because bad actors understand the average human doesn’t actually mind bloodshed. If we were all truly “determined to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war, which twice in our lifetime has brought untold sorrow to mankind“ as the UN Declaration of HR cites, they’d know not to try.
Instead, they know as long you kill blacks, whites won’t care; as long you kill Palestinians, Jews won’t care. I already knew humans were self-seeking. No one expected you to put your own liberties on the line and fly into a warzone to deliver food to the afflicted. Still, I thought we’d at least agree in THEORY. Yet everyday that God makes, I watch in real time, seemingly well-meaning adults, turn a LITERAL blind eye to others’ pain. Their excuse being silly things like “I have to look our for my career.“ FUCK YOUR BULLSHIT TINY CAREER. Not like you were building a mathematical equation to end world hunger.
I have an open door policy when it comes to friendships. I very rarely withhold my affections. My friends range from wealthy diplomats to unhoused persons; from published authors to (possible) sex workers. Still, I could NEVER be friends with someone who is only troubled by calamity when it touches them; I don’t do cowards. PS: You’re sure cozied up on the “safe side” now but you know you’re next, right? Not you thought you were special. HA!
Blood on YOUR hands.

I wish another blogger I will leave nameless (not that you’ve heard of her) would realize that about only caring if her or someone like her is affected by something. She’s a narcissist who uses mental health as an excuse for bad behavior.
Anyway, thank you for making a post like this and I hate how there’s a double standard in how genocides are treated in society when it comes to the race of perpetrators and victims. I started to notice that when I learned about the Namibian Genocide by Germany or Leopold’s genocide of the Congo.

Almost asked who? Haha. Let me focus:
Our shared humanity is THE only way out.
Thanks for doing you’re part.
Bless you.-
Sorry, I realized there was a typo. I meant to say that this individual would realize that her line of thinking is beyond flawed.
I definitely agree with you there. Thank you, too.
